What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide clinical review support services for prior authorization requests, making approval or denial decisions
- Review and revise medication request guidelines for clinical appropriateness
- Offer drug information support and research clinical literature for decision-making
- Prepare utilization and compliance reporting for client plans
- Educate Prior Authorization Coordinators on PA guidelines and processes

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Pharmacy degree (Pharm. D.) or equivalent; 2+ years of related experience
- Current, unrestricted Registered Pharmacist license in the State of California or another U.S. state
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy services in a managed healthcare environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills

- Experience in clinical pharmacy practice within a Pharmacy Benefits Management setting
- Familiarity with prior authorization processes and guidelines
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information
