      Clinical Training and Education Lead

      Nationwide

      Fixed Term Contract until March 2025

      £71,000 - £107,000 DPE + Excellent benefits

      Full time hours – 37.5 Hours (Monday to Friday)

      Role Overview

      We have a fantastic opportunity for a Lead clinical role to join the project team in the creation of the Bupa Clinical Training Academy. This role will spend the next 9 months overseeing and contributing to the design, and development of high engagement and quality training. This will be a combination of face-to-face sessions, remote workshops, e-learning, virtual training and courses that have an element of all of these. You will work closely with the Program Director and be the clinical expert in developing the Academy from a concept to reality, including advising on the curriculum, learning & training priorities, best way to deliver the training and how to incorporate simulated experiences within this.

      Y ou’ll help us make health happen by :

      • Network locally, regionally and nationally with peer groups to support the sharing of best practice and build knowledge around clinical training and development.
      • Provide expert support and advice to the program team in respect of professional body (e.g. NMC/GMC/GDC/HCP) code of conducts. Including consideration and suggestion of feasible ways of implementation of guidance such as, ‘Standards for Learning in Clinical Practice’, Revalidation and professional development of this within the Clinical Training Academy curriculum.
      • Be responsible and accountable for the creation of an educational strategy for the Clinical Training Academy. Consider and incorporate overall BGIUK strategic objectives.
      • Lead the development of immersive training with our Virtual Reality supplier and act as a clinical lead in the content and outcomes.
      • Work with the digital team to incorporate the sim labs and technology available into the learning. For example, when the AI manakins support in the learning of a practical procedure or to demonstrate consequences.
      • Lead a team of 2x clinical educators responsible for designing the training content.
      • Act as the clinical education lead and provide guidance, expertise and experience to ensure the training is delivered to a high quality and through the most impactful method.
      • Facilitate monthly sign off processes and ensure all training is approved through the required governance process. Collaborate with the BGIUK Clinical Governance Team on ensuring policy and process requirements are met

      Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

      • Current healthcare professional registration (e.g.: GMC, NMC, GDC)
      • A specialised qualification in clinical education, such as a Postgraduate Certificate (PG Cert) in Clinical Education.
      • Ongoing experience of supervising and mentoring new starters/ students.
      • Evidence of structured classroom / clinical teaching.
      • Evidence of dealing with external and internal suppliers to meet training requirements.
      • Budget management experience
      • Leadership experience in a training environment
      • Experience in the design, development, and implementation of training courses
      • Excellent knowledge of working with regulatory standards and any governing bodies
      • Comprehensive knowledge on the educational pathways.
      • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
      • Excellent presentation skills and stakeholder management skills
      • Positive role model with a robust approach to problem solving
