About the role.
We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of hands-on experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) and a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure. Experience with Azure is a plus. The candidate should be well-versed in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform, and CloudFormation. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to collaborate effectively within a team, and strong communication skills.
What you’ll do.
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Proficiency in Terraform and familiarity with CloudFormation, Serverless Framework to manage infrastructure as code, ensuring scalable and reliable cloud architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design cloud solutions that meet business needs.
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture principles and best practices
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability of cloud environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost-efficiency.
• Develop and maintain cloud best practices, governance, and security standards.
• Assist in the automation of deployment pipelines using CI/CD practices.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services.
• Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and tools.
What we’re looking for.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in cloud engineering with a strong focus on AWS (experience with Azure is a plus).
• AWS certifications (Associate or Professional level) are highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform (mandatory), Serverless Framework and CloudFormation (preferred).
• Solid understanding of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, VPC, and IAM.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as ECS and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitHub, AWS CodePipeline.
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Familiarity with application development, APIs, and system integrations is a plus. A passion for learning new programming languages and technologies is highly valued.
Preferred.
• Experience with CloudFormation for AWS infrastructure provisioning.
• Exposure to Azure and multi-cloud environments.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Datadog
• Preferred work location is Warren, NJ, but open to considering remote candidates.The base salary for this role can range from $100k-$120k, based on a full-time work schedule. An individual’s ultimate compensation will vary depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience.
