      What is the role?

      Applications are sought from suitably qualified applicants wishing to be considered for the role of Team Member within the Enterprise Systems team.

      Team members will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the AFP’s server and application infrastructure in support of its corporate and operational systems. This includes administration, monitoring, optimisation and problem resolution related to Windows and Linux server operating systems, Windows applications, as well as ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery processes are in place and regularly tested.

      Actively participate in the development of a FinOps practice and lead the development of a tagging framework across a hybrid cloud environment.

      Technologies supported include but are not limited to MS, LINUX, Oracle and SQL databases, M365, SharePoint, Exchange, BizTalk, MQ and Citrix.

      You will also be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.

      What will you do?

      • Work with industry leading products and technologies from VMware, Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services to manage cloud platforms, application deployments and security across various operational and corporate focused situations.
      • Provide advisory, solution architecture, and consulting to internal projects of varying size.
      • Actively assist with the management of team backlog and alignment from backlog to BAU workload discussions and outcomes.
      • Contribute to improvement in adoption of ITSM practices within the team
      • Lead the implementation and on-going sustainment of monitoring solution
      • Analyse processes, documentation, and workflows to identify any gaps and prioritize process improvements based on current risk of components, whilst adding professional insight.
      • Provide advisory, solution architecture, and consulting to internal projects of varying size.

      Essential Requirements

      • You must be an Australian Citizen at the time of application.
      • A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
      • Extensive experience implementing and supporting application lifecycle management.
      • Extensive experience implementing and managing monitoring suite of products.
      • Advanced experience with Active Directory/Azure AD: Manage devices identity, users, & groups, troubleshooting replication issues.

      Desirable Requirements

      • You are familiar with security concepts found in the ISM and the implementation of said concepts in a PROTECTED environment.
      • You will be a hands-on and pragmatic technical leader with experience mentoring junior team members
      • Any industry certification would be an advantage.

      Additional Information

      This position can be worked from any capital city in Australia but will report into the section based in Canberra, ACT.
