- Perform monthly Supply Network Planning and weekly Operational Planning
- Responsible for delivering accurate and timely forecast to our CMOs according to the contractual agreements, to include communicating significant changes to the CMO, Operations Manager and Category Manager
- Coordinate the purchase planning process and determine right-sized inventory levels according to corporate policies and in agreement with relevant production site(s) by considering inventory capacity, shelf-life, demand fluctuations and other relevant supply chain aspects
- Plan and execute prioritization of sampling and QC analysis of delivered orders according to criticality
- Handle orders & follow up on them with CMOs, Affiliates, Shipping, warehouse, and Global Contract Manufacturing (GCM) Operations & QA to ensure material availability according to demand
- Monitor inventory of critical production materials at the CMOs – according to agreements and ensure monthly stock-alignment between stock report from CMO and Novo Nordisk (NN) systems.
- Manage invoice flow: handling, reviewing, approving
- Manage forecast and operational scrap process to ensure right provisions are made, extensions are initiated, and physical scrap is handled
- Oversee Shipping process in collaboration with CMO, NN stakeholders and assigned forwarder
- Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
- Other accountabilities as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or relevant field of study from an accredited university required or equivalent combination of education & experience. May consider an Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or relevant field of study from an accredited university with a minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible experience in supply chain planning required. May consider a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of seven (7) years progressively responsible experience in supply chain planning required
- Minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible experience in supply chain planning required
- Professional Certification through APICS (CSCP or CPIM) or ISM (CPSCM) preferred
- Experience in one or more of the following areas required:
- Supply Planning
- Demand Planning
- Supply Chain Management
- Pharmaceutical or other FDA regulated industry
- Demonstrated experience with supply/demand planning, purchase and production planning required
- Demonstrated experience with SAP ECC/APO, Tableau, Scenario based planning tools required
- Knowledge within systematic problem solving & acumen for process optimization plus
- Sold analytical skills preferred
- Ability to identify solutions that are robust & will ensure the correct quality level preferred
- Excellent proficiency in communication skills; both written & verbal required
- Demonstrate action-oriented behaviors required
- Collaboration with colleagues & stakeholders across functions & departments required
- Work in structured manner & take ownership of assignments required
- Result-oriented & take pride in delivering on milestones preferred

In NC, we have a newly established department of Global Contract Manufacturing (GCM) Supply Chain under the parent organization based in Denmark. GCM is part of Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply organization and is responsible for all Novo Nordisk contract and license manufacturing of intermediates, drug substances, semi-finished and finished drug products to global markets. GCM Supply Chain is responsible for all supply chains between Novo Nordisk and its Contract Manufacturing Organisations. The department develops and establishes supply chains for new Contract Manufacturing Organisations and manages the purchase planning responsibility for all Contract Manufacturing Organisations in operations.

The Position
Secure supply of Novo Nordisk products produced by Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO) located in the US for further production in the Novo Nordisk supply chain or towards supply to patients. Ensure supply chain understanding of how our CMO products link into the overall Novo Nordisk processes to ensure decisions are based on holistic supply chain assessment. Knowledgeable of supply/demand planning, supply chain management and SAP interfaces and a keen interest in ensuring supply of product to Novo Nordisk patients
Relationships
Reports to Associate Manager.

Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
