JOB OVERVIEW

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for dynamic, strategic and results-driven students to join our team in the role of Health or Radiological Physics Co-op / Developmental Student . We have multiple opportunities available across our Durham, Clarington and Toronto locations. Please note that our Clarington locations are not accessible by public transit. There are positions available for both four (4) and eight (8) month work terms and start in January, 2024.

The compensation rate for these positions starts at $25.83 per hour and will commensurate with experience.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assist in the ALARA planning of radiological work
• Assist in the implementation of the Radiation Protection program at the site
• Assist in the management of the radiation instrument program
• Implement new instrumention and programs at the site
• Manage and organize technical databases
• Assist Health Physicists with data collection and analysis
• Assist Health Physicists with report writing
• Assist with Remote Monitoring initiatives

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

All students must:

• Be currently enrolled as a full-time, post-secondary student in a recognized institution.

• Have completed a minimum of 1st year in college OR an undergraduate program at university by the start of the opportunity.

• Have a minimum average of 70% cumulative GPA.

• Be returning to full-time studies in the same program following the completion of the work term OR require the work term or co-op placement to graduate.
