What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Code ER, outpatient, outpatient surgeries, observations, and inpatient records
- Work on CCI/medical necessity edits as required
- Monitor unbilled records for all patient types on a daily basis
- Maintain coding quality equal to or greater than 95%
- Complete continuing education as required

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or GED
- Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) by AHIMA
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Must score 80% or above on both outpatient and inpatient coding exams
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic ICD-10 training and anatomy and physiology

- Proficiency in PC and software applications
- Experience working in a healthcare environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding
