- Oversee daily workload of Coding and Charge Capture Specialists and make adjustments to meet daily and monthly goals.
- Review productivity and quality of the Coding and Charge Capture team members.
- Collaborate with RCM Leadership as needed to resolve coding and claim issues.
- Process payroll and manage time for all staff.
- Monitor and evaluate key processes to identify opportunities for improvement
- Investigate coding requirements for new procedures or drugs.
- Responsible for coordinating training for all new employees and ongoing training for current staff members.
- Serve as a resource for team members and provide direction in resolving operational issues.
- Oversee Charge Capture coding rule engine.
- Manage month-end close process, including the completion of required reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and revising policies and procedures to ensure that everyone within the department adheres to coding rules and regulations.
- Responsible for hiring qualified team members.
- Directly supervises team members and proactively manages their performance and development, including but not limited to goals, performance feedback, appraisals, and corrective actions.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate new ideas, resolve problems, obtain feedback, and maintain the staff's overall effectiveness.
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED required. Associates Degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum of seven (7) years Medical Billing.
- Minimum of three (3) years supervisory or management experience.
- Coding Certification
- Strong familiarity with medical billing software and charge capture software.
- Proficient knowledge of Medical Terminology; ICD-10 and CPT-4 Codes.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, team-building, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient computer software and database skills.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- High-speed, reliable internet connection to ensure uninterrupted communication and access to necessary systems and tools.
- Quiet and private work environment to maintain the confidentiality of patient information and minimize background noise during calls.
- Proficiency in using remote collaboration tools, such as video conferencing software, instant messaging platforms, and customer relationship management systems.
- Compliance with all security and privacy policies and protocols, including safeguarding patient information and maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Coding and Charge Capture Specialists.
- Must have the ability & willingness to travel to other sites as necessary within a geographic region.
- Regularly required to sit and stand for extended periods.
- Involves standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, and twisting.
- Requires full range of body motion, including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 20 lbs.

Position Summary:
The Coding and Charge Capture Manager is responsible for the primary oversight of the Coding and Charge Capture Specialists, process flow, and timely charge submission. The Manager will also provide leadership and resource management for the coding department and collaborate with the compliance department and providers.
