What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide education and expert advice on CPT and ICD coding guidelines and clinical documentation
- Analyze and interpret revenue and reimbursement implications of clinical documentation
- Prepare and lead education sessions on payer coverage policies and medical necessity documentation
- Translate coding, payment, and reimbursement policies for departmental leaders and staff
- Conduct coding audits and communicate results effectively to stakeholders

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Medical Coding certificate or an Associate/Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Business Services or related field
- Certified Coding Administrator (CCA), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credentials required
- Minimum three years of experience in coding with expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Demonstrated knowledge of disease processes, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience conducting coding audits and communicating results to end users

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in complex data analysis and proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technology (RHIT) credentials
