What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform analysis on medical record documentation and determine appropriate coding
- Abstract and enter coding and demographic information into the employer's computer system
- Assist in resolving incomplete and missing chart documentation to expedite billing
- Participate in improvement efforts and provide coding-related training for staff
- Maintain communication with coding and billing personnel to enhance operational efficiency

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School education, plus medical coding certification
- Minimum of three years of medical abstraction and coding experience
- Knowledge of ICD-CM and CPT, HCPCS coding systems, and federal/state regulations
- Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Training in medical terminology from an accredited program (e.g., AHIMA, NHA, AAPC)
- Experience in Radiology Coding
