What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform coding and related duties in accordance with established billing office policies
- Act as the primary contact for physicians and department administrators regarding billing issues
- Coordinate professional service billings for selected clinical departments
- Assist in the development and implementation of new professional service lines related to coding and billing
- Provide provider education and training for staff

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years of coding experience, including at least 1 year of CPT and ICD coding
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- Comprehensive knowledge of E&M CPT coding, ICD-10 CM coding, and payer policies
- Coding certification (CPC, CPC-A, CCS-P, CCA) and/or health information management credential (RHIT, RHIA)
- Basic PC skills; Epic experience is preferred

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with reviewing potential drug diversion and understanding controlled substance management
- Familiarity with medication and controlled substance laws at federal, state, and local levels
- Experience in trending and analyzing data
- CRC certification preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 CM coding preferred
