      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Review and evaluate medical record documentation to ensure accurate coding for reimbursement
      - Interpret medical information to assign and sequence appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes
      - Provide technical guidance to medical staff regarding documentation issues and coding principles
      - Audit clinical documentation to validate support for services rendered
      - Research and analyze discrepancies in coding and recommend corrective actions

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High School Diploma or Equivalent required
      - Certified Professional Coder - American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) preferred
      - 0-1 year of medical coding experience preferred
      - Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT®, HCPCS, and modifiers for coding of professional fee services
      - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in medical coding in a healthcare environment
      - Familiarity with policies, procedures, laws, and regulations related to medical coding
      - Strong data entry skills and proficiency in computer applications (e.g., MS Office)
