What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure daily tasks contribute to company goals for cash collections and accounts receivable over 90 days
- Research outstanding balances and implement necessary collection actions to resolve issues promptly
- Negotiate payment plans with patients in line with company collection policies
- Review insurance remittance advices for accuracy and address any billing errors or payment discrepancies
- Communicate professionally with other employees and interact with third-party collection agencies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in medical collections with knowledge of managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid reimbursement
- Proficiency in automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to type 40 wpm and proficiency with a 10-key calculator
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in home infusion therapy collections
- Familiarity with ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and billing information
