What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review requests for quotations and new applications for commercial lines of insurance
- Analyze available facts and make sound underwriting decisions in accordance with company policies and standards
- Review and monitor in-force business, ensuring continued acceptability according to underwriting standards
- Foster working relationships with agents and other personnel to produce profitable commercial lines business
- Recommend additional coverages, lines of insurance, and policy amendments to meet customer needs

What is Required (Qualifications):
- College degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
- At least five years of experience as a commercial underwriter
- Ability to underwrite large, complex commercial lines accounts
- High level of expertise in rating programs, coverage laws, and regulations
- Strong oral and written communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CPCU, CIC, or similar insurance designations
