      We are now seeking a Communication Manager who will run and oversee the development of our digital channels, including web and social media.

      As a vital part of the Group Communication & Public Affairs team, you will play an important role in enhancing Hydro’s global reputation. This team is focused on delivering top-tier internal and external strategic communication services, closely collaborating with Hydro’s Business Areas, managing significant reputation projects, advising top management on strategic communication, and overseeing the creation and management of content across various channels for both internal and external audiences.

      You will work on

      • Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy for our corporate website and other digital channels, including social media and our intranet.
      • Manage the creation, editing, and promotion of engaging content for our digital platforms in collaboration with other communicators, group functions and business areas.
      • Drive and oversee content production, ensuring our channels are updated and aligned with Hydro’s overall strategy and the communication and public affairs strategy.
      • Drive technical development of our digital channels, in close collaboration with our IS/IT organization.
      • Monitor analytics and create reports detailing the successes and failures of our digital channels strategy.
      • Stay up-to-date with technology trends and opportunities in the digital landscape to drive continuous innovation.
      • Act as Data Privacy champion within the Data Privacy network on behalf of Group Communications & Public Affairs.

      Your qualifications and skills

      • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
      • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in an international organization.
      • Project management skills.
      • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques, especially in the digital environment.
      • Proficiency in CMS tools like Optimizely/Episerver and digital analytics tools like Google Analytics, SiteImprove, etc.
      • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
      • Fluency in Norwegian, written and spoken.
      • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
      • Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure.
      • An independent, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who thrives in a team setting. Hands-on approach, with a strategic mindset capable of identifying compelling stories and tailoring them to the appropriate channels.

      Communication & Public Affairs in Hydro is a world-wide organization. The department is closely integrated with Hydro’s operations and businesses, with a total of approximately 50 people working in a broad range of fields.
