As a supportive, inclusive school, we celebrate the rich diversity of our multicultural community and host Leeds City Council’s resource provision for deaf and hearing impaired pupils, working in partnership with school to provide access to the curriculum.
We require an enthusiastic and skilled Communication Support Worker to join our Deaf and Hearing Impairment Team (DAHIT). The successful candidate will:
• Work at Moor Allerton Hall Primary School to facilitate access to learning and play for deaf children including those who are using sign
• Facilitate communication between deaf children and hearing peers and adults by using BSL (British Sign Language), Sign Supported English and English.
• Adapt materials and the delivery of curriculum content to enable access to deaf learners

The hours will be 34.5 per week, working 8.30am to 3.30pm two days a week and 8.30am - 4.30pm three days a week, and the post is to work term time only.
The actual pay will be £19,142 - £20,977, paid across the year.
