What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop, execute, and evaluate communication and outreach plans for IT services and initiatives
- Lead communications projects, defining goals, tracking milestones, and coordinating resources
- Create and manage content for IT's web presence, ensuring alignment with institutional brand guidelines
- Translate complex technical information into accessible documentation for a non-technical audience
- Assess the effectiveness of communications efforts using web analytics and other evaluation tools
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree with 3 to 5 years of related professional experience
- Experience in publishing, marketing, public relations, or communications, particularly with IT products and services
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with strong grammar and style expertise
- Knowledge of digital marketing best practices, including email marketing and social media
- Working knowledge of XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, or other web programming languages
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in web and graphic design
- Familiarity with Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or other screen casting software
- Experience creating functional specifications and web or paper-based prototypes
