What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Write and produce compelling content promoting the Wilder School, including articles, press releases, and social media posts
- Manage social media accounts, develop editorial calendars, and analyze performance metrics
- Oversee website content updates and email marketing campaigns, ensuring effective communication strategies
- Support special projects and events, including invitation management and post-event evaluations
- Collaborate with team members to implement best practices for effective external communications
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, mass communications, public relations, business, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in external communications, writing, or public relations roles
- Superior writing and communication skills with a strong understanding of public relations principles
- Experience in conducting interviews and creating original stories for various external audiences
- Proficient in using Google Drive and familiar with email marketing platforms and web content management systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 5+ years of experience in external communications project management or public relations
- Experience in a public relations agency or brand management role
- Familiarity with event marketing and communications
- Background in higher education or nonprofit organizations
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and search engine optimization practices
