      Job summary

      This is an opportunity to work as a Band 6 Community Physiotherapist on Anglesey, North Wales. You will be working as part of a well established MDT (health and social services) delivering physiotherapy intervention in a community/domiciliary setting to improve function, independence and working towards admission avoidance.

      The post is based in Ysbyty Penrhos Stanley where you will work within the Holyhead Community Resource Team to deliver physiotherapy to residents of Holyhead and the surrounding area, but there may be a requirement to travel to other areas on Anglesey as part of the role.

      This is a rural area, the ability to travel in a timely manner is essential for this post.

      Main duties of the job

      The successful applicant would be required to deliver evidence based practice, be responsible for training and supervision of both rotational staff and Physiotherapy support staff ranging from Band 3 to Band 4 and contribute to service development.

      To carry out physiotherapy assessments and treatments; developing individualised therapeutic treatment programmes for a specialised caseload in the relevant clinical area. Patients may include those with physical and psychological problems in area of speciality; some of whom may have a level of complexity. Team leader; clinical specialist or advanced practitioners are available for clinical and managerial support.

      Once in post there will be support from the team leader on site as well as training opportunities within the wider Physiotherapy service.

      This post also includes a requirement to work as part of the on-call Respiratory rota, for which training will be provided.

      The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
