Job Description

Receives, evaluates, and administers sponsorship requests, negotiates benefits, and ensures adherence to corporate policies.
Works with internal and external partners to ensure the successful execution of sponsorships.
Reviews and evaluates sponsorship programs to ensure the fulfillment of contractual agreements and reviews data to provide reporting.
Builds and maintains relationships with members of the community, key individuals, and other organizations.
Maintains strong internal relationships across the organization to ensure corporate relations plans and activities are synergistic and support marketing and business strategy.
Plans and executes internal and external events, ensuring they are in accordance with corporate direction and approved budgets.
Coordinates vendors, service offerings, and product acquisition.
Sets up, dismantles, and creates internal and external visual displays.
Attends special functions, as required.
Develops and executes promotional item recommendations for internal customers.
Coordinates and distributes materials for promotional activities.
Supports a culture of leadership and accountability to effectively meet the key accountabilities within the scope of the role.
Displays leadership by committing to a culture of continuous learning/development of self and supports others by actively sharing knowledge, providing guidance, mentoring, training, and supporting developmental opportunities.
Demonstrates that the Health, Safety, and Emergency Management Policy is applied in area of responsibility for self and others.
Actively applies knowledge to support transformation and strategic initiatives of the corporation, while participating and advocating change and applying a growth mindset.
Advanced skill in building strong relationships with community partners/stakeholders.
Proficient knowledge of event planning.
Proficient knowledge of sponsorship techniques.
Proficient skill in project management.
Proficient skill in using Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive).
Two-year diploma from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study such as Business or Social Sciences, or defined equivalency.
Possession of a valid driver’s licence.
1 – 3 years’ experience in event planning, sponsorship, fundraising, marketing, project management, or another relationship-building role.
