What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage professional consultants on project delivery and public-involvement activities for transportation projects
- Develop and implement public involvement and communications plans in compliance with federal requirements
- Provide timely project updates to stakeholders and manage outreach activities
- Create project-related materials such as flyers, videos, and brochures for effective communication
- Attend project meetings and coordinate public outreach strategies with project teams

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in communication, community relations, or Public Relations
- Ability to develop and implement effective public involvement plans and manage project tasks
- Strong writing, public speaking, and organization skills
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for state business

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of public involvement principles and best practices
- Familiarity with the ADOT Public Involvement Plan requirements
- Experience in strategic communication planning and implementation
- Proficiency in using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
- Basic understanding of reading project maps, diagrams, and plans
