Job summary
We are looking for a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join our community SLT service in beautiful North Devon for three days (22.5 hrs) per week. We would also encourage and welcome forthcoming graduates to apply.

Main duties of the job
Independently manage, with access to support from more senior colleagues, a caseload of patients with developmental communication and acquired disorders of speech, language and communication.
The provision of a speech and language therapy service of assessment, diagnosis and treatment of developmental communication disorders and acquired disorders of speech, language and communication
Provide appropriate intervention and evaluate outcomes
Provide advice to relatives, early years and school staff and other professionals on matters relating to the speech, language and communication needs of individual patients.
Set up and monitor programmes to be carried out by other key workers
Write reports reflecting specialist knowledge.

CFHD provides integrated care and treatment for children and young people across physical and mental health which are provided by TSDFT and DPT. CFHD works closely with our local universities of Plymouth, Exeter & the Peninsula Medical School where we support students in clinical training placements and in addition support our own staff to undertake post graduate training.
