Accompanying clients to appointments and social events.
Prepare healthy meals and snacks.
Running errands, picking up a prescription or doing some shopping.
Carry out some light housework, laundry, or ironing.
Provide medication reminders.
Helping someone to get out of bed in the morning or into bed at the end of their day.
Running a bath or shower and being close by in case they need assistance.
Assisting with dressing & undressing and personal care when required.
Above all, be the person who shows friendliness, warmth, and empathy.

Becoming a Companion and Home Carer
As one of our home carers, you’ll be earning up to £12.00 per hour with industry-leading training and support provided.
You will be required to work alternative weekends and due to the nature of the role.
No specific qualifications or background in care is required to become a care assistant. What’s more important is that you have a natural calling to care for people. With this intact, we provide all the training you need o to become one of our exceptional Home Instead CAREGivers.

Job Description
You'll be working alone and unsupervised at the client's home so being able to blend into their daily lives is a must.
As a CAREGiver, you will need to be able to deal with varying levels of dependency and medical needs as well as being responsible for ensuring that our client is safe, secure, comfortable, and happy in their home.
In addition to meeting their home care needs, you will get to make a real difference to their lives and become one of their greatest companions.
Home Care involves a variety of different tasks from preparing a client's favourite, nutritious meal, performing housekeeping activities around the home, companionship, social activities or helping a client get dressed or bathed.
Our clients' levels of dependency and medical needs differ and we carefully matched both client and CAREGiver to be comfortable with each other and to ensure the best relationships are built.Help support clients with a variety of daily tasks, some of which may include:
