      In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. Our legacy Injectable Finished Products (IFP) facility in Clayton, NC is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments.       The Position

      Subject Matter Expert/Owner for day-to-day operations of Health & Welfare Benefit plans including vendor management of carriers, administrators, & consultants. Contributes to plan analysis, strategy, design & benchmarking & reporting/communication of benefit programs. Ensures all benefit documents remain up to date, compliant with current & future regulatory requirements. Provide support to HR initiatives & Rewards programs as required.

      Essential Functions

      • Oversight of Health & Welfare Benefits Administration, as well as providing details on the Annual Benefits Open Enrollment
      • 401(k) Savings Plan Administration including funding arrangements
      • Process Improvement initiatives
      • Effective, accurate, generation & distribution of complex reports; statistical summaries regarding employee benefits & related information
      • Interface with IT/Novo Nordisk affiliates/Consultants, etc. to identify new applications to enhance effectiveness of Benefit Systems
      • Internal/external audits; annual 5500 tax filings
      • Coordination of 401(k) education sessions, benefit presentations, health fairs, total rewards statements
      • Leads process of monthly benefits accruals/invoices & variance reporting
      • Provides content to 3rd party Administrator(s) Enrollment Webpage & reviews periodically for accuracy
      • Investigates escalated benefit issues & implements solutions
      • Contributes to development/maintenance of benefits budget/financial requirements
      • Provide training, education, & positive clear communications to employees
      • Other accountabilities, as assigned

      Physical Requirements

      Moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Ability to do close precision work with their hands. Must be able to remain in a stationary position (sitting and standing) 50% of the time. May required corrected vision to 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder. May be required to work at elevated heights. Occasionally works around odorous &/or hazardous materials.

      Qualifications

      • BS Degree in Human Resources, or related field or equivalent combination of education & experience required
      • Minimum of five (5) years of benefits administration experience
      • Demonstrated technical knowledge & experience in the area of design, development, & administration of benefit plans
      • Extensive knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, Health Care Reform, etc.
      • Skilled in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
      • Financial or budgetary experience with self-insured plans preferred
      • Ability to train others
      • Ability to identify new approaches & procedures for continuous improvement
      • Ability to manage interfaces associated with HR systems, & projects
      • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
      • Proven expertise in organizing information & resources for successful reporting & communications to support core processes
