      Complex Claims Analyst - Personal Lines [Direct Claims]
      North America - Remote/Hybrid, provided you can commute to the New Hampshire office.

      We are a fast-growing global reinsurance speciality company servicing the insurance markets of Lloyd's, Europe and North America.

      In recent years, we have been expanding our North American operations, which includes integrating an exceptional new Claims team.

      As a result of this growth, we are seeking an additional hands-on Direct Complex Claims Analyst to report to the Direct Technical Claims Manager. This role will involve managing Direct claims across multiple disciplines and territories. You will apply your knowledge and experience to proactively review coverage and manage claims through resolution, negotiation, and litigation. Habitational and Complex General Liability experience required. Lloyd's of London and/or London Market experience and Personal Lines experience is a plus.

      Key Responsibilities
      • Proactively handle complex claims to a high standard, including overall assessment of losses and reserves, and negotiation with counterparties to achieve timely settlements.
      • Own the management of mid to large, complex, and disputed claims on behalf of the claims team.
      • Identify and report new trends or changes in the behavior of a claims portfolio.
      • Display knowledge of review and analysis of complex coverage and contract issues and understanding of underlying claims.
      • Prepare appropriate coverage position analysis and engage/manage counsel if necessary.
      • Identify and deliver opportunities for claims savings, both on individual claims/accounts and on a strategic basis.
      • Management of complaint cases within regulatory guidelines.
      • Management and oversight of TPA handled claims.
      • Perform TPA audits as necessary.
      • Work with TPAs and aid with referrals and cases over their authority limits.
      • Effective management of external service providers, ensuring they are acting in the best interests of Compre Group.
      • Act as main contact and account manager of all assumed claims made by assigned cedent.
      • Conduct on-site claim audits of ceding companies.
      • Provide technical assistance for the due diligence process for new acquisitions, including the assessment of claims related risks and opportunities, reporting findings within the agreed format, and required deadlines.
      • Gain a good understanding of new accounts upon acquisition, delivering against opportunities identified in due diligence.
      • Act as a point of claims expertise with other internal departments to resolve queries.
      • Testify on behalf of the company as a witness in arbitration/litigation when required.
      • Other additional responsibilities and project work as required

      Candidate requirements;
      • Right to work in this location
      • Minimum of 5+ years of handling complex claims and coverage experience required.
      • Four-year college degree required or equivalent work experience.
      • High level of claims handling technical experience and knowledge, providing consistently high-quality claims handling.
      • Knowledge of key terms and conditions in contracts / policies and general knowledge of key legal positions in relevant jurisdictions.
      • Effective verbal and written communication skills
      • Understanding of data analysis and trends
      • Good stakeholder management skills, and the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships across the business.
      • Strong communication and presentation skills.
      • Contributing positively to our culture and values.
