      The Opportunity

      This position works out of our LIma Peru location in the OEC Office of Ethics and Compliance.

      As the Compliance Manager, you’ll have the chance to support the affiliates (multi-country if applicable) ethics and compliance program, as well as the Data Privacy Program, including all business divisions, and working with affiliate leadership to identify and manage ethics and compliance and Data Privacy risk-areas, as well as counsel on matters of compliant and ethical business practices and Data Privacy related-matters; and acting as Data Privacy local responsible.

      What You’ll Do

      • Acts as a strategic adviser to the affiliates (multi-country if applicable) division leaders on proposed commercial programs, analyses alternatives and proposes solutions; involves other functions as required, in all ethics and compliance and Data-Privacy related-matters.
      • Provide direct oversight for complex elements of Abbott’s compliance program at the business unit, affiliate, and divisional, regional, or corporate level.
      • Independently lead and drive the Compliance Program with minimal supervision from upper level managers (e.g. Director or ECO).
      • Drive ethical leadership (tone & action) from senior business partners at division, affiliate, regional, or corporate level either locally or regionally to foster compliance culture.
      • Acts as Data Privacy lead or similar role responsible for the Data Privacy program, if mandatory by any such laws or if provided as an option by law and considered relevant the Privacy leadership.
      • Provides guidance and support to all levels of affiliates employees on ethics and compliance issues, as well as on Data Privacy related matters including policy interpretation and requirements.
      • Ensures the communication of Abbott ethical standards and compliance requirements within the affiliates directly and by affiliate leadership; raises awareness of the programs and resources available for employee education and support.
      • Leads revision of compliance program and related policies as appropriate to respond to changes in affiliates needs, corporate policies and applicable local laws and industry codes.
      • Leads project teams in implementing ethics and compliance initiatives to include corrective and preventive measures.
      • Oversees the development, administration and execution of training and communicationinitiatives.
      • Supports the execution of the affiliates Compliance Activity Ranking (CAR), annual Strategic Plans and Monitoring Plans.
      • Supports OEC’s Data Analytics program using Power BI. Develops country specific reports on PSA HCPs related spending and other compliance related activities. Ensures quarterly information is shared during ACC meetings.
      • Provides oversight and support locally regarding ethics and compliance violations. Oversees the tracking and trending and makes recommendations for corrective actions.
      • Assists with the continued enhancement of the local ethics and compliance program through collaborative interaction and innovative strategies designed to assist the company in achieving its business objectives in an ethical and compliant manner.
      • Proficient to lead develop risk assessment program for either complicated specific project or fullscale program targeted at general business model/practice in an affiliate/division.
      • Participates/coordinates in a local identified Industry group aiming to align business best practices aamong local industry.
      • Proactively support new and evolving business models, technologies and growth strategies.
      • Provides guidance on compliance audits, guides the business in preparing corrective action to address findings and recommendations.
      • Partner with business/ HR/ investigations to ensure appropriate disciplinary actions are taken consistently across a division.
      • Organizes ethics and compliance records, documents and files and maintains document databases.

      Required Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree (i.e Law, Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare)
      • 6 to 10 years of experience with functions such as sales, compliance, regulatory, legal, government affairs, finance and internal audit.
      • Experience in healthcare compliance or pharmaceutical compliance ideally.
      • Experience as a member of a multinational compliance team ideally.
      • Fluent in English.
      • Travel is required for visiting other businesses within the country or other affiliates under her/his responsibility and attending Regional and Global meetings.
      • Required to visit the field at least once a quarter in order to understand business dynamics, needs, and execute field monitoring activities.
