What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct research on laws and regulations affecting the employer's business and make recommendations as needed
- Ensure the employer complies with all relevant laws and regulations
- Monitor, analyze, and communicate new regulatory initiatives proactively
- Assist with the preparation and filing of required reports and conduct compliance audits
- Manage the process of obtaining and maintaining professional licenses, ensuring compliance with state regulations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 5 years of related experience; or Associate's Degree with 3 years of related experience; or Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience for Compliance Specialist II or a Master's Degree with relevant experience
- Compliance experience within the banking or insurance industries
- Ability to interpret and apply laws, rules, and regulations effectively
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Designations such as Associate in Regulation and Compliance (ARC), Associate Compliance Professional (ACP), Certified Compliance Professional (CCP), or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
- Paralegal certification
