      Job Title: Computation Fluid Dynamic (CFD) Engineer Specialist

      Location: Camden, NJ 08104 - Remote (will need to travel onsite 1-2 times a year and is fully expensed by client)

      Contract Duration: Long Term

      Would like structural mechanical engineering background. Working with finite element computer codes is A PLUS!

      Need to have PhD/Master and at least 7-10 years of experience

      job Description:

      Specific Areas of Responsibility:
      • Develop new and innovative Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations related to plant components.
      • Collaborate in small teams focused on the development of complex flow and/or thermal simulations.
      • Apply developed and developing capabilities to directly impact design processes and eliminate the need for hardware testing.
      • Provide component-level and/or system-level design recommendations to Design Responsible Engineers based on the interpretation of analysis results.
      • Participate in product design and development teams, presenting analysis results to engineering peers and management.
      • Enhance concept designs based on limited requirements or functions and develop mature requirements by gaining an understanding of the system, structure, or components.
      • Review available concept designs based on an ambiguous set of requirements, transforming them into mature designs through critical thinking, literature research, collaboration with team members from other disciplines and vendors, and any analysis permitted by project milestones.
      • Support the preparation of design deliverables, presentations, and communicate design progress in stakeholder meetings.
      • Assist in the development of engineering and licensing requirements and documentation for nuclear systems and components.


      Minimum Requirements:
      • Advanced degree (MS, PhD, or equivalent) in Mechanical or Nuclear engineering.
      • Experience using commercial CFD software such as ANSYS-FLUENT, ANSYS-CFX, and STAR CCM+CFD software.
      • Thorough knowledge of heat transfer and fluid dynamics fundamentals.
      • Thorough knowledge of CFD models for turbulence.
      • Knowledge of CFD models for two-phase flow.
      • Demonstrated excellent technical writing skills and effective communication skills.
      • At least 5 years of experience in the thermal-hydraulic field with a focus on modeling and analyzing turbulent flow and heat transfer.
      • Effective communication, organizational, interpersonal, and technical writing skills.
      • Excellent attention to detail and capable of producing error-free documents.
      • Strong math, analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills.
      • Eligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810.

      Optional/Additional Qualifications:
      • PhD in mechanical engineering, and applied mechanics, or closely related field of engineering.
      • Industry experience using CFD simulation to support product development.
      • Experience working with engineers and fabricators to develop designs and drawings.
      • Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and ANSYS software.
      • Experience working in the nuclear industry
