What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

- Spearhead the exploration, generation, and execution of innovative concepts in healthcare provider settings
- Lead efforts to identify coding and billing logic development opportunities
- Investigate, identify, and define coding and billing issues
- Communicate results effectively with senior team members and managers
- Expand concepts based on customer requirements and obtain concept approval

What is Required (Qualifications):

- Bachelor's degree in nursing, HIM, or related health field or equivalent relevant healthcare experience
- AAPC or AHIMA coding certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing, coding, auditing, or CDI
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to conduct basic data analyses independently
- Strong knowledge of healthcare coding systems and Medicare reimbursement methodologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and CMS security requirements

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

- Prior auditing or consulting experience in a provider or payer environment
- Experience with healthcare coding systems such as CPT4, HCPCS, DRG, ICD-9 and ICD-10, Home Health, SNF, Revenue Codes, etc.
- Familiarity with healthcare claim adjudication standards and procedures
- Strong analytical and investigative skills
