What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze information provided with new matter requests for compliance with firm policies and professional responsibility rules
- Review conflict of interest reports for lateral hires and new firm matters to identify and resolve potential conflicts
- Assist conflicts attorneys with resolution strategies and outreach to impacted attorneys
- Review engagement letters and new matter scope communications for compliance with firm standards
- Participate in the implementation and upgrade of electronic tools and processes within the Conflicts Department
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in conflicts law firm environment or practice support/legal assistant role
- Basic knowledge of conflicts of interest issues
- High level of proficiency with technical systems related to law firm new business intake
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Word and Excel
