- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years of work experience performing underground construction,
- An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the position
- Must obtain First Aid/CPR card within 90 days

Idaho Power (IPC) — located in Twin Falls, Idaho — is looking for a Construction Inspector to join our Joint Trench team. It’s an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. What does a Construction Inspector do for us?
They are responsible for inspecting work performed by contractors on joint trench projects. They coordinate work activities with all affected IPC stakeholders. They also ensure all inspections are completed and in compliance with IPC contractor specifications.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The position requires the ability to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, crawl, climb into and out of vehicles, ascend/ descend ladders, twist, kneel, balance and reach. Job requires the ability to work alone for long periods of time in the field, often in adverse weather conditions / temperatures, on uneven and slick terrain within proximity of energized equipment. Traverse across open trenches; frequently reaching below ground level, kneeling, and climbing. Continuous standing, walking, gripping, and bending when performing work in field. Maneuver and navigate around construction areas to inspect work performed. Drive-in all-weather conditions. Occasionally lift test equipment (up to 50 lbs.) chest and knee high; rarely lifting shoulder height and above items weighing up to 50 lbs. Rarely use exertional force pushing/pulling items weighing up to 50 lbs. to open three-phase sectors that are out of alignment. Carry with one or two hands items weighing up to 50 lbs. Frequently use foot controls when operating vehicles, grasp, hold, and manipulate items, tools, or keyboards. Perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat of harm to self, others, or property.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work overtime when needed. Operate 2-wheel, 4-wheel drive, and all-terrain vehicles. Additional safety related training may be required.
