Job Title: Construction Laborer

Job Description

As a General Laborer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including digging, shoveling, and moving materials around the jobsite. This position requires physical labor and the ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly. Tasks may also include setting and building forms, and assisting in the installation of concrete and other materials.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in the construction field such as solar, farm work, roadway, building, or industrial
• Ability to scale ladders and lift 50 lbs repeatedly
• OSHA 10 certification
• General labor skills
• Experience in farm hand, solar, concrete, carpentry, and landscape work

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in construction, civil, site, and equipment operating
• Experience in farm and solar work

Work Environment

This is very physical work, and candidates will be on their feet all day moving materials around often with shovels or other tools. Candidates will be digging, building, and performing other tasks, often in trenches. The work hours are from 7AM to 3:30PM, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for overtime. The team size is 15 workers in the field in the site division. The job requires working in dirty and muddy conditions, with appropriate clothing such as work shirts, pants, and steel-toed boots. Winter gear is provided when cold. Safety is the #1 priority, and candidates must follow OSHA guidelines at all times. Provided safety gear includes hard hats, glasses, gloves, and hi-viz vests.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
