      PROJECT MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR - Construction Loan Monitoring

      • P rovides leadership to JLL’s Valuation Advisory - EPC team in support of performing construction plan and cost reviews, construction monitoring, and related services

      • Oversees select client accounts to achieve the company's strategic business objectives.

      • Manages and coordinates technical staff activities including those of in-house and contracted associates.

      • Coordinates personnel and other resources with other EPC service lines, particularly PCAs.

      • Key areas of focus include oversight of project scoping and service delivery, and providing support to Senior Project Management Director (SPMD) .

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Develops and maintains reporting formats and templates to be technically thorough, efficient to use, and complimentary to other deliverable types.

      • Supports growth and management of staff nationally and ensures understanding and implementation of JLL, VAS and EPC operations, policies, and procedures.

      • Builds a pool of qualified contractors supplement ing in-house staff to provide geographic and subject matter coverage to client needs , and secures contracts with such as necessary.

      • Oversees the preparation of accurate, timely, and complete reports to the client and company.

      • May act as subject matter expert in areas of expertise such as building systems and conditions, s eismic, ADA, MEP, or other specialties , in accordance with ASTM E2018 , as well as client scopes such as Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, etc.

      • Interacts regularly with clients to ensure that goals and objectives of the services are achieved, and develops and implements action plans to correct variances in service delivery.

      • Develops EPC business with clients, presents services, and supports revenue growth of the business.

      • R eviews deliverable s written by others to ensure they meet company and client protocols , provide value, and embody technical competency, as well as to ensure quality and risk management standards.

      • Performs other duties as assigned.

      SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area.

      • Provides technical direction and guidance to staff assigned to projects.

      • Works with SPMD to respond to staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, and corrective action. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval.

      • Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor in accordance with budgeted revenue and margin goals .

      • Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies.

      • Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

      QUALIFICATIONS , EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

      • Bachelor ’s degree (BA/BS) in architecture , engineering , construction or related discipline .

      • Minimum 10 years construction advisory experience with a general understanding of building systems: site work, structural, building envelope, and MEP.

      • Mastery level knowledge of construction industry practices including construction accounting , change order tracking, estimating, liens, retainage, development budgets, and code compliance .

      CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

      • Preferred c ertification as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect , or reasonable expectation to obtain within one year, in a US state .

      COMMUNICATION SKILLS

      • Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret construction- and business - related documents and offer strong business solutions to clients.

      • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, consultative, and exceptional customer service skills and the ability to problem solve.

      • Ability to effectively respond to sensitive issues, complex inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, supervisor and/or management.

      • Ability to motivate employees and client groups to take desired action.

      • Ability to effectively present technical information to non-technical clients.

      FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

      • Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles.

      REASONING ABILITY

      • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.

      OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

      • Competency with typical business software and hardware ( i.e. Microsoft Office Suite Products , web-based reporting platforms ).

      • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

      • The position requires simultaneously managing deliverables for several ongoing assignments.

      Estimated compensation for this position is:

      75,000.00 – 135,000.00 USD

      The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
