      Job Description

      • We are seeking a construction project manager.
      • This role involves managing several complex facilities and process-related projects, including HVAC and utilities projects, biologics cell culture and purification upgrades, cryogenic storage capacity projects, and laboratory and building infrastructure renovations.

      Responsibilities

      • Manage several complex facilities and process-related projects including new facilities, major plant additions, reliability, and retrofit projects.
      • Coordinate projects with site Operations, Laboratory, Maintenance, Calibration, Validation, Automation, and Facilities departments from project initiation to closure to ensure all systems are designed, constructed, and documented properly.
      • Scope projects based upon client’s requirements, obtain budget estimates, create and present capital funding requests, and develop project schedules.
      • Understand facilities and building activities and functions including utilities infrastructures such as compressed air, nitrogen generation, cold rooms, dehumidification, deionized water, sterile water/water for injection systems, process piping/flow, production and building system automation, HVAC systems, utility instrumentation, etc.
      • Knowledge of laboratory, office buildings, manufacturing facilities, and utility plant design/construction drawing requirements.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • B.S Degree in Engineering, Construction or related discipline
      • Advanced degree and/or professional engineering license desirable
      • PMP certification preferred
      • 5-7 years or more of engineering experience and experience with troubleshooting

      Work Environment

      • The role is on-site in East Syracuse, NY.
      • The work environment includes office space, lab space, inside work, outside work, working alone, and working with and around others.
      • It also involves exposure to noise, heights, and cramped quarters. You will be working with the General Contractor on site as well as numerous other subcontractors

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $67.30/hr.
