Job Title: Construction Laborer

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated General Laborers to join our production team. This position involves working with a variety of materials and equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes. The role is physically demanding and requires flexibility with shifts.

Responsibilities

• Loading bags of sand, slag, and other base concrete mix material into loaders to feed into tanker trucks.
• Moving pallets on and off trucks, and stacking pallets of finished product.
• Shoveling sand, slag, and other concrete mix.
• Cleaning the work area.
• Breaking up rocks.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions for an 8-hour shift.
• Experience in outdoor labor or refrigerated/freezer environments.
• Capability to bend, twist, and squat for the entire duration of the shift.
• Ability to wear a respirator for the duration of the shift when needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in general labor, construction, concrete, packaging, loading, production, and machine operation.

Work Environment

Shift hours are from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (Monday - Friday) and 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. When a vessel is present, shifts will be from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Overtime availability varies. Candidates must be flexible with shifts and punctual. PPE provided includes respirator, coveralls, and work boots. Dress appropriately for outdoor weather conditions, especially in winter.

This is a Contract position based out of Detroit, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
