      Job summary

      An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paediatrician to join the Community Paediatric Team at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, due to retirement. The post is full time, but we would also welcome applicants who would like to work less than full time or job share.

      You will join a well-regarded and motivated team comprising 6 Consultant Community Paediatricians, 1 Associate Specialist, 1 Specialist Doctor, 1 Specialist Registrar, 4 Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practitioners and 2 job sharing Epilepsy Specialist Nurses. Bolton NHS Foundation Trust provides an integrated paediatric service across community and hospital services.

      Main duties of the job

      The clinical duties of the post include:

      • General paediatric clinics including care of children with neuro-disabilities and special school clinics
      • Development of a complementary special interest
      • Clinical governance, teaching and mentoring duties
      • Section 47 medical assessments on a rota basis (within working hours)
      • Initial health assessments for looked after children
