      Job summary

      We are seeking a new Home Treatment Team Consultant for the North Devon Home Treatment Team, based at North Devon District Hospital in Barnstaple, North Devon. The post has become available due to the retirement and the post will be increasing from the current 7PA consultant post to a 10PA post. The Home Treatment Team is also currently planning to extend their workforce to seek to enhance its provision in the context of the service demands on Urgent and Inpatient Mental Health Care both on a local and national level.

      The trust is currently undertaking a senior workforce review with a focus on getting things right for staff so we can get things right for patients. We want to make this role work for you and would be delighted to have a discussion about what this would look like.

      Main duties of the job

      We are seeking a Home Treatment Team consultant for the North Devon team

      The team has a mature MDT including psychology, occupational therapy and pharmacist input, and an experienced practice leave and team manager. There are excellent links with the CMHTs, liaison psychiatry, Home Treatment Teams and AMPHs. There are three Mental Health wards located in North Devon: an Adult Acute Ward, an Adult Rehabilitation Ward and an Older Adult Ward. The AMPH office is onsite. The wards are located on the North Devon District Hospital site allowing easy access to DGH facilities when required. The post comes with a dedicated office and secretarial support.
