This position is part of a job family; there are two levels to the position.
Level I
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage social media channels and lead the implementation of integrated content marketing strategies. This digital communications role includes digital content development, copywriting, and social media messaging to increase brand awareness and engagement. Must pay close attention to emerging social media and digital trends as they relate to content marketing in this rapidly evolving industry. Develop and implement effective search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) strategies.TYPICAL DUTIES
Utilizes social media reporting data and web analytics to measure content performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve results and the customer experience.Distributes content across all GECU communication channels.
Responsible for social media content development, implementation, security, and management across social media channels relevant to the brands.
Copywriting for social media, website, blog, writing product descriptions, email copywriting and developing digital marketing copy for digital assets for the GECU brand
Work with communication team to develop best-in-class content marketing standards and processes to manage and maintain content efficiently.
Collaborate with internal and external department team members to successfully execute all marketing and advertising initiatives.
Collaborates and makes recommendations with communication team and Content Manager II on the content strategy that supports brand marketing initiatives across social media and digital channels to increase brand awareness and engagement while creating a positive member experience.
Assists Content Manager II in regularly developing content assessments of website, social media platforms, and digital assets.
Responsible for general social media and website content maintenance (keywords) and content optimization (searches) for the brands’ websites.
Responsible for conducting keyword research and collecting data and report on traffic, rankings, and other SEO aspects.
Stays updated on industry trends and makes recommendations for content strategy as needed.
Works with entire communication team in researching, learning and recording various marketing compliance issues.
This position requires the employee to work from home, but may require onsite onboarding, training, and work.
Maintain and understand compliance to ensure that work complies with GECU’s established policies, procedures and applicable regulations, to include Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Member Identification Program (MIP), and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC).
Other duties as may be assigned or required in connection with the general operation of credit union.
REQUIRED AVAILABILITY: Monday- Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Requirements
CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, beauty or fashion industry, or related field or equivalent in related experience. Three (3) to five (5) years related experience.Working knowledge of content management systems is desirable.
Two or more years of executing social media initiatives with demonstrated success across multiple platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Tiktok and Snapchat).
Two or more years of digital marketing experience (agency or client side).
Extremely detail oriented with ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities.
Excellent communication and copywriting skills in the English language. Bilingual preferred.
Excellent proofreading and editing skills are required for the role.
Possess a strong work ethic and take pride in the quality of work.
A self-starter able to work collaboratively as well as independently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat.
Experience with Google Analytics, Moz, or SEMrush preferred or other keyword research tools.
Fluency in SEO keyword research and the role of SEO keywords for SEO copywriting, content optimization, search marketing and social media.
Requires sitting the majority of the day, lifting up to 20 pounds continuously, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally. Bending, twisting, reaching above and below shoulder frequently, squatting, climbing and kneeling occasionally.
