Lead the delivery of efficiency initiatives and other process led improvements within Water encompassing training and rollout activities
Develop team resources with specific areas of expertise that will develop awareness of innovation within the industry and across wider related activities
Coaching colleagues in the operational usage of Lean / Sigma / Vanguard tools and techniques
Coaching leaders in creating self-motivated continuous improvement environments within their teams including effective use of performance boards and visuals
Promoting the adoption and implementation of improvement ideas into the daily operations and culture by guiding teams towards and encouraging lean operational self-sustainability
Participate in proactive stakeholder management where key teams and individuals are engaged with regarding key improvement initiatives including the benefits and risks they pose
Develop and manage methodologies for benefits tracking of process changes in conjunction with Optimisation Programme Management and Water Performance

Continuous Improvement Lead
Location: this role can be placed from any of these locations:-
Lincoln, Great Billing, Whitlingham, Colchester or Peterborough
Contract: 12 month Fixed term contract /Full Time
Salary: circa £50,000

Playing a key part in our drive to bring environmental and social prosperity to the region we serve through our commitment to Love Every Drop are our Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) Alliance. Comprising of Anglian Water, Morrison Utility Services, Barhale and Kier, the IOS Alliance work together to concentrate on solutions across the water recycling and clean water asset base, typically totalling £50-60m per year.
Within Anglian Water, we understand our responsibility as environmental and community custodians and are always looking to improve our services at the lowest costs possible (as we continue to keep customer prices as low as possible) and reduce our carbon footprint.
To play a key role in driving the Water Business stream to deliver its stretching efficiency during AMP7 and beyond, we are looking for a Continuous Improvement Lead to join us within IOS to systematically identify, prioritise and deliver process changes and optimisations.
What will you be doing as our new Continuous Lead?
Utilising your unique blend of operational excellence, business transformation, change leadership and project portfolio management, you’ll be responsible for driving organisational change focusing on Root Cause Analysis, Continuous Improvement , Vanguard (Systems Thinking) and Lean Management methodologies.
Partnering with Operational Leadership Teams in the development and deployment of Benefit, Effectiveness and Lesson Learned frameworks, you’ll become intimate with their mission, processes and requirements and support initiatives focused on key performance metrics and implement and communicate appropriate changes across the organisation.

What skills and behaviours do you need?
To join us in this exciting opportunity to improve the way we operate on a day-to-day basis, you’ll have demonstrable practical experience of LEAN, Six Sigma, Vanguard, Business Change and CI methodologies. With experience in assessing risk and responding appropriately, it would be beneficial for you to experience in a Change/Project role.
Possessing excellent communication and analytical skills, you’ll be confident detailing and presenting detailed and complex information to a range of audiences. Able to think strategically and operate in a proactive and forward- thinking way, you’ll be comfortable optimising your digital skills as we look to enhance the way we operate.
