Provide Subject Matter Expertise to support to the Group on the obligations and expectations within Public and Cloud Native contracts.
Support colleagues with agenda items at Governance committees including risks and issues, SLA’s, commercial spend, billing and Service Credits and capture and progress actions relating to Public and Cloud Native Services accelerating speed to market creating customer value
Ownership of the contract renewals, deliverables and obligations tracking for the contracts
Leading the commercial relationship with our suppliers, ensuring the management and resolution of contractual issues to minimise the impact of service disruptions and delivery delays.
Raising and managing contractual change notifications, negotiating changes to the contract to remain in compliance with the remainder of the agreement.
Provide strong leadership, management and operational oversight to the Contracts & Commercial team.
Ownership of the Governance Framework for the contract(s) and renewals, making considered changes to keep up with an ever-changing landscape
A strong background in contract management with an understanding of contract structures and terms (Cloud experience is preferred but not essential)
Ability to communicate and influence with stakeholders at all levels within the organisation
An ability to quickly grasp and dissect complex issues, in order to accurately advise teams on how to proceed.
Resilience when faced with conflicting priorities and commercial disputes
Experience in multi-vendor service provision
Proven experience making material commercial decisions

SALARY: The salary banding for this role is £61,641 - £68,490
LOCATION: Leeds, Bristol, Edinburgh, Halifax or Manchester
HOURS: 35 hours, full time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
About this opportunity
Would you like to manage multi-million-pound contracts with global Technology Service Providers as part of our Contracts & Commercial function? We provide central, independent supplier assurance and informed analysis to ensure service quality and to positively influence the commercial landscape of our organisation.
You’ll have operational responsibility for one or more contract agreements. You’ll manage the end-to-end lifecycle process of the agreement(s), from development through to execution and termination. You’ll coordinate contract change control and internal & external communication regarding the agreement and the supplier relationship. You’ll form the interface between defined client functions and the supplier, ensuring input (e.g. business and compliance requirements) and participation in decision making such as review and approval of deliverables or mitigating actions.
