What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Accurately code, test, and maintain managed care contracts in the contract management system
- Load executed managed care contracts into the contract management system
- Update contracts with scheduled rate changes as needed
- Consult with contract negotiators to ensure accurate contract language and calculations
- Monitor changes in coding schemes (ICD, CPT, DRG) and anticipate impacts on contract reimbursements

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of hospital revenue cycle experience or equivalent work experience
- Basic understanding of medical coding systems (ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS, DRG, etc.)
- Required PC competencies including intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to detail

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with coding systems affecting patient account adjudication
- Strong initiative to work independently and define problems effectively
- Proficiency in telephone and email communications
- Interest and aptitude in computer-based applications for complex business processes
