What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review clinical contracts and collaborate with staff and faculty clinical coordinators to ensure regulatory compliance
- Verify necessary documentation for independent contractor agreements and forward vendor agreements to Legal Counsel for review
- Process and maintain all contracts, ensuring organizational consistency and appropriate legal approvals
- Manage the SMU contract database system (iContracts) and generate certificates of insurance
- Serve as a resource for staff and faculty on contract procedures and policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of three to four years of experience in positions of increased responsibility in an academic setting
- Knowledge of laws and legal requirements for both clinical and non-clinical contracts
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Paralegal experience
- Experience with record management and contract law
- Familiarity with contract language and style guides
