      Your purpose will be to contribute towards the long-term success of JLR by being the subject matter expert for BIW technical maintenance requests.

      Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

      Day-to-day you will provide control support to the maintenance team to ensure a safe and efficient production performance is delivered within the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People and Environment framework.

      You will Support and maintain the area staffing and ensure it is within operational constraints to achieve operational targets whilst carrying out running checks and repairs, as well as Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) activities.

      You will have ownership of 5S and workplace organisation activities, validating effectiveness to standards whilst ensuring the achievement of equipment uptime objectives as directed.

      WHAT YOU’LL NEED

      A recognised time-served apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering maintenance discipline

      Recognised electrical and control and automation qualifications.

      High levels of technical knowledge and expertise with PLC’s (Allen-Bradley), ABB Robotics, Pilz Safety Systems, Control Networking (Interbus & Ethernet), Frequency Inverters and closed-loop servo systems.

      The ability to interrogate and modify PLC programmes.

      Previous experience in a similar role within a highly automated maintenance operational environment in manufacturing
