      Job Summary

      We’re looking for a Controlled Substance Inventory Management Pharmacist to join our PharmScript team within our Operations Management department. As a Controlled Substance Inventory Management Pharmacist, you’ll be responsible for


      Responsibilities

      • Review daily variance of controlled substance identified by the pharmacys and conduct thorough reviews of variance resolutions to deem apporpriateiness, identify trends, and ensure resolution provided are adequate.
      • Manage follow-up actions to resolve or report variances appropriately.
      • Ensure accurate documentation and timely resolution of inventory discrepancies.
      • Assist in preparing accurate and complete documentation for regulatory submission, including DEA Form 106 for theft/loss reporting.
      • Provide targeted training and one-on-one support to pharmacy sites regarding controlled substance inventory management.
      • Guide pharmacy teams in adhering to variance resolution best practices and controlled substance policies.
      • Developing standard controlled substance operational practices that adhere with federal and state regulations as well as adhere to overall corporate goals.
      • Development of the corresponding PharmScript policies and procedures (P&Ps) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
      • Manage the implementation of operational compliance and developed technology into new existing PharmScript locations and new pharmacy growth under the direction of the Director of Controlled Substances Operations .
      • Ensure the privacy and security of PHI (Protected Health Information) as outlined in policies and procedures relating to HIPAA compliance.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor of Science or Pharm. D. degree in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
      • Current pharmacist license to practice pharmacy in good standing.
      • Minimum of five (5) years of pharmacist work experience in long-term care (preferred), retail and/or hospital pharmacy settings.
      • Demonstrated proficiency and understanding of all current PharmScript operations.
      • Demonstrated proficiencies in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

      Physical Demands and Work Environment

      The physical demands described here are representative of those that should be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

      • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
      • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittently
      • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed
      • May lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
