- Review and ensure accurate costing systems are in place.
- Lead the accounting team to effectively execute accounting practices and priorities.
- Support international business needs as required.
- Lead company insurance renewal process.
- Responsible for Douglas Machine Foundation accounting and tax requirements.
- Establishes, monitors, and enforces accounting policies and procedures.
- Direct and implement effective, compliant payroll systems and practices.
- Lead, review and enforce internal controls.
- Serve as key interface for tax and audit engagement and implement recommended changes.
- Guides annual budgeting process by establishing and communicating schedules, managing templates, and providing support to prepare forecasts, operating budgets, capital budgets.
- Contribute to the development of company growth by providing advice and counsel to the company’s leaders on budget, financial understanding and the financial impact of their decisions.
- Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial results.
- Issues timely financial statements on monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new regulations.
- Prepares and files relevant financial reports; advises management on needed actions.
- Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, persuasive, negotiation and diplomatic skills.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and strong experience with ERP systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Strong background in financial and managerial accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of ten years of accounting experience.
- Experience leading others and initiatives.
- Experience creating and managing budgets.
- Prefer Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations.
This senior leadership position is responsible for the financial management of the organization to include budget analysis and management, financial modeling and reporting, forecasting, accounting and treasury operations, maintenance of fiscal transaction records, mergers and acquisitions, and investment strategies. Provides quality, meaningful analyses, and financial perspectives necessary for corporate decisions and strategic planning.
