- Prepare schematic drawings based on PLC controlled automated systems
- Develop PLC/PC or HMI programs to complete field commissioning and obtain system approval
- Translate system requirements based on contract documents and specifications into a functional specification
- Prepare concepts, estimates, and tender request for quotes as required with sub-contractors
- Develop Control System design into Control Cabinets, Field Equipment, and Bill of Materials
- Manage build and installation of control systems
- Participate in design reviews, and generate customer operator documentation
- Learn and apply new tools, technologies, and industry best practices
- Experience with ACADE, PLC design and programming are an asset
- An understanding of voltage, current, and power calculations with applicable knowledge of circuit theory
- An understanding in automation, robotic control, and control systems
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, Mechanical Engineering and Sales, to get things done
- Proactively take on new tasks and to look for ways to improve our systems

From concepting, estimating, electrical controls design, emulation and software development Mississauga Dematic provides a turnkey solution that can meet the needs of the most advanced e-commerce warehouse.
We offer a range of engineering opportunities, from creating concepts/estimates to ACAD Design to developing PC/PLC control software designs. You will participate in all aspects of the product design lifecycle, including design, programming, and on-site commissioning.
