- Ability to properly prepare, serve and store food.
- An understanding of the sanitation procedures needed to provide a safe and healthy environment.
- Ability to handle and prepare foods in accordance to the regulatory agencies.
- Work under supervision on menu compliance and special diet compliance, and by direct observation of patient compliance.
- Report any dietary non-compliance, concern or complaint of patients to supervisor.
- Prepare foods according to standardized recipes, preparation, service methods, and food handling techniques to ensure quality.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Kitchen/Cooking/Cleaning commercial experience preferred.
- Must work effectively in a team.
- Must work flexible hours (to include weekends and holidays).
