What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate professional development activities for educators involved in the AMSTI program
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop training materials and resources
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions for educators across Alabama
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of professional development programs
- Assist in the planning and execution of AMSTI events and initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in education or professional development
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
- Familiarity with math and science curriculum standards
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with the Alabama Math, Science and Technology Initiative (AMSTI)
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in STEM education
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Previous experience in coordinating professional development programs
