Who are we hiring? Reporting to the Director, Entertainment & Production, this role will assist in elevating the live in-game experience for all MSG Sports game presentation. They will assist in developing the overall entertainment strategy and manage entertainment calendars for Knicks and Rangers home games. This role will assist in preparing game day production materials, coordinating live entertainment execution, and managing external performers needs during home games and various special projects. This position will serve as the lead floor director during live performances and assist in the execution of all live production elements throughout Knicks and Rangers home games. This position will also provide support in Event Presentation business operations through assisting budget management, processing department payments, organizing department contracts, and managing internal approval processes. They will also provide day-to-day support for additional members of the department when needed by assisting in floor directing contests and in-stand promotions, game directing when needed and ideating around new content to be incorporated during games throughout the season. What will you do? Assist Director in developing the artistic vision and strategy for MSG Sports live in-game entertainment and production elements. Assist Director in execution of all live gameday entertainment elements including halftime acts, anthem performers, guest DJ’s, on-court entertainment, live presentations, and Event Presentation special projects. Manage the Knicks and Rangers entertainment calendars inclusive of all on-court or on-ice performance elements. Assist in production management for all marquee home games for the Knicks and Rangers (i.e. tech riders, LED wristband placement, confirming lighting design completion, added special effects, etc.) Book all color guard groups and assist in booking regular home game anthems for the Knicks and Rangers seasons. Manage performers while on site from arrival to exit following games. This includes pickup from arrival location, managing through sound check, working with VIP services for any hospitality needs, managing through performance, taking the performer to their seats for the game, and exiting after the game. Assist in the execution of all performer and production paperwork including contracting and waivers, processing invoices, managing vendor payment schedules, organization of paperwork, and internal approval processes. Assist Director in overseeing full department budgets and daily tracking of spending. Assist department in the preparation of game materials (Fact Sheet, Game Night Staff One-sheet, graphics/videos inventory, PA scripts, rundown, video arsenal, stats, etc.) and communicate the documents with various departments prior to each respective home game when needed. Support in misc. events (Draft parties, open practices, watch parties, etc.) Assist Director in overseeing department Student Associates (3) Process all invoice payments process (Coupa & Oracle) for Knicks Event Presentation and Monitor Trust Account information for all minor age employees.
