      The Residency Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting and managing the residency program within our organization. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The Residency Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the administration of the residency program as outlined in the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Program Requirements. The Residency Coordinator provides administrative support to the Program Director of the residency, Chief Residents, and provides support to faculty, residents, and fellows. The Residency Coordinator additionally will interact with faculty, residents, fellow(s), medical students and institutional and regulatory administrative offices as directed by the Program Director.

      Job Components

      Professional Responsibilities :

      Residency Program Administration:

      1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residency program, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and accreditation standards.
      2. Coordinate and facilitate the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process for residents.
      3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records, including tracking attendance, evaluations, and other relevant documentation.

      Communication and Collaboration:

      1. Act as the primary point of contact for residents, faculty, and other stakeholders, providing timely and effective communication.
      2. Collaborate with various departments, including human resources, finance, and medical education, to ensure seamless coordination of residency program activities.
      3. Organize and participate in regular meetings with residents, program directors, and other relevant parties.

      Scheduling and Rotation Management:

      1. Develop and maintain the residency schedule, including rotations, conferences, and other educational activities.
      2. Coordinate the assignment of residents to various clinical and educational experiences, ensuring compliance with program requirements.
      3. Monitor and track resident duty hours to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

      Educational Support:

      1. Assist in the coordination of educational activities, including seminars, workshops, and conferences for residents.
      2. Facilitate the distribution of educational materials and resources to residents.
      3. Collaborate with program directors to implement and evaluate educational initiatives.

      Evaluation and Assessment:

      1. Manage the evaluation process for residents, collecting feedback from faculty, preceptors, and other relevant parties.
      2. Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for accreditation purposes.
      3. Monitor resident progress and address any concerns or issues promptly.

      Education/Regulatory Requirements :

      • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
      • Previous experience in residency program coordination or administration is highly desirable.
      • Strong organizational and time-management skills with a keen attention to detail.
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
      • Familiarity with accreditation standards for residency programs is a plus.

      • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing; Ability to provide instructions and education.
